Strengthening services, BCA Syariah opens 2 new branch offices in Surabaya
Surabaya, August 10, 2023 - As part of the company's organic growth, PT Bank BCA Syariah (BCA Syariah) officially relocated the Surabaya Branch Office (KC) today and opened the services of the Sub-Branch Office (KCP), each located at Bratang Binangun RMI A-24 Street, Baratajaya, Gubeng, and Darmo Park I Commercial Complex, Mayjend Sungkono Street, Surabaya. The operation of these two branches was marked by a flower-cutting ceremony by President Director of BCA Syariah Yuli Melati Suryaningrum and President Commissioner of BCA Syariah Ratna Yanti, witnessed by Director of BCA Syariah Lukman Hadiwijaya and Branch Manager of BCA Syariah Surabaya Chandra Winata.

President Director of BCA Syariah Yuli Melati Suryaningrum said, "The opening of BCA Syariah branches today is our commitment to improving public access to BCA Syariah services. These two branches will strengthen BCA Syariah's business in financing and fund collection, especially in the East Java region."
The operation of BCA Syariah KCP Sungkono adds to the total number of branches in East Java to 19 branches, consisting of 1 Branch Office (KC), 5 Sub-Branch Offices (KCP), and 13 Sub-Branch Offices of Sharia Service Units (KCP ULS) located in Surabaya, Malang, Kediri, Pasuruan, Mojokerto, and Banyuwangi.
Surabaya is the center of industry and manufacturing in East Java with a growing economic potential. This growth has also contributed to the increase in assets of all BCA Syariah branches in the East Java region. As of June 2023, BCA Syariah's assets in East Java grew by 33% to reach Rp1.3 trillion. Asset growth was supported by an increase in Third Party Funds (DPK) reaching Rp1.2 trillion. BCA Syariah Surabaya is one of the largest contributors to DPK, reaching Rp606 billion. "The growth of DPK indicates an increasing trust from customers to place their funds in BCA Syariah," Yuli added.
BCA Syariah is committed to participating in economic development through financing. In the East Java region, BCA Syariah's financing reached Rp522 billion, growing by 35% annually, with the largest financing distributed in the Surabaya region amounting to Rp469 billion. The majority of financing is in the commercial segment. However, in terms of growth, SME financing has the highest growth rate at 98.4% annually, amounting to Rp18 billion.
Yuli said, "Along with market optimism for economic growth in the country, until the end of 2023, we hope that BCA Syariah in the Surabaya region can grow in the range of 25-30% in terms of assets, DPK, and financing."
