BCA Syariah is present to meet the reliable and trustworthy needs of Shariah banking

PT. Bank BCA Syariah ("BCA Syariah") is the result of the conversion of PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) in 2009 through the acquisition of PT Bank Utama Internasional Bank (Bank UIB) based on Acquisition Deed No. 72 dated June 12, 2009, made before Notaris Dr. Irawan Soerodjo, S.H., M.Si., a Notary in Jakarta. Initially, Bank UIB was a conventional commercial bank, then changed its business activities to operate based on Sharia principles. AH.01.02 dated January 14, 2010, concerning Approval of the Deed of Amendment to the Articles of Association of the Company, and has been announced in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia on Additional State Gazette No. 23 dated March 20, 2012.

Based on the Copy of the Decision of the Governor of Bank Indonesia No. 12/13/KEP.GBI/DpG/2010 dated March 2, 2010, BCA Syariah obtained permission to change its business activities from a conventional commercial bank to a commercial bank conducting business based on Sharia principles.
