BCA Syariah Holds Literacy and Inclusion Event on Islamic Banking in Kediri
Kediri, November 5, 2023 - PT Bank BCA Syariah (BCA Syariah) enhances Islamic banking literacy and inclusion through an event titled BCA Syariah Gas-Poolll (Gathering Fun) at the Muslim Festival in Kediri, East Java, held on Sunday at GOR Jayabaya Kediri (11/5/2023). In this event, BCA Syariah introduces various products and services, Islamic competition activities, as well as a marketplace for SME products, attended by 300 participants consisting of students and SMEs in the city of Kediri.

BCA Syariah Corporate Secretary, Nadia Amalia, said, "This activity is part of BCA Syariah's efforts to increase literacy and inclusion in Islamic banking, especially for the younger generation, through educational competitions to raise awareness that saving is a good habit that can help us achieve a prosperous future."
The Gas-Poolll Festival Muslim Kediri event features creative competitions favored by the community, including a tambourine competition, calligraphy, and coloring contests. "With enjoyable activities, we hope that the community can more easily understand the benefits of Islamic bank products and services to help students plan their finances," Nadia added.
Education activities targeting students and the younger generation have been carried out in BCA Syariah branches. The Gas-Poolll activity has been previously conducted in Aceh, involving 500 participants from kindergarten and elementary school students. Until the third quarter of 2023, BCA Syariah has conducted 31 education activities with a total of 6,500 participants, including students, university students, journalists, professionals, and female SME actors.
As of September 2023, BCA Syariah has recorded a growth of 181.7% in the number of children's savings accounts (under 17 years old), reaching 28,085 accounts compared to the same period last year. In the organized education activities, BCA Syariah encourages the culture of saving from an early age, introduces the basics of financial management, and also presents various savings product solutions for the younger generation and students, including SimPel iB (Islamic Student Savings), Tahapan Rencana iB, and Tahapan Mabrur iB, which can be utilized by the younger generation to cultivate savings discipline, learn about investing, and prepare for Hajj/Umrah.
