BCA Syariah closed 2023 with a net profit of IDR 153.8 billion, growing 30.8% compared to the previous year (Year on Year/YoY). The increase in profits was supported by accelerated financing distribution which continued to apply the principle of prudence so that the quality of financing was well maintained and the acquisition of a customer base, especially CASA customers, as well as balanced management of assets and liabilities.

In a presentation on the company's performance achievements, BCA Syariah Director Pranata said, "In 2023, BCA Syariah's total assets will reach IDR 14.5 trillion, an increase of 14.2% compared to the previous year. This asset growth was supported by the collection of TPF which reached IDR 10.9 trillion, growing 15.5% YoY and the distribution of financing which reached IDR 9.0 trillion, growing 18.8% YoY.

A number of other financial ratios also show BCA Syariah's strong performance in 2023. Return on Assets (ROA) and Return of Equity (ROE) show growth compared to the previous year, reaching 1.5% and 5.2% respectively. Good performance is also supported by the Bank's operational efficiency, reflected in BOPO which was at 78.6% or improved from the same position in the previous year.

Strategies to achieve solid and sustainable growth include accelerating the growth in the number of customers, especially those with low-cost funds (Current Account Saving Account/CASA). To support this, BCA Syariah is accelerating technology adoption in its products and services and modernizing its IT infrastructure so that it is able to maintain CASA composition at 38.1% of total deposits reaching IDR 4.2 trillion.

"We are launching a new feature, namely Online Account Opening via BCA Syariah Mobile. This solution is a concrete manifestation of our efforts to listen to the needs of the community to access BCA Syariah services. "Alhamdulillah, this service was well received by the public, thereby increasing the number of customers by 170.1%," said Pranata.

The company's intermediation function is well reflected by the increasing funds distribution ratio (FDR), reaching 82.3%. The largest financing composition is in the commercial financing segment, namely 70.7% of the total financing of IDR 6.3 trillion. Judging from its growth, consumer financing achieved the highest growth compared to other financing segments, namely 95.3% YoY, reaching IDR 821 billion. Pranata said "The significant increase in consumer financing is supported by the development of increasingly massive product and marketing features by the branch network and marketing collaboration with the BCA group." Inclusive financing distribution is also reflected in the financing of the MSME sector, the composition of which reached 20.2% of total financing or IDR 1.8 trillion, growing 5.0% annually.

The distribution of financing that is effective and carried out with the principle of prudence is reflected in the quality of financing that is maintained low and healthy. Gross Non Performing Financing (NPF) was recorded at 1.04% and net 0.00%.

President Director of BCA Syariah Yuli Melati Suryaningrum said, "BCA Syariah also carries out business and governance practices that prioritize the principles of sustainability. In 2023, BCA Syariah has prepared a sustainable finance policy and roadmap as a guide for the targeted implementation of sustainable finance.  30.1% of the total financing we disbursed was financing in the sustainable sector. "This is a form of BCA Syariah's commitment to maintaining a balance between people, profit and planet."

It was recorded that until December 2023, sustainable financing at BCA Syariah reached IDR 2.7 trillion. Financing was distributed to 6 Sustainable Business Activity (KUB) sectors consisting of: Energy efficiency amounting to IDR 367.7 billion; eco-efficient financing of IDR 315.4 billion, management of biological resources and sustainable land use of IDR 195.5 billion; pollution prevention and control Rp. 10.7 billion; sustainable water and wastewater management IDR 2.5 billion and environmentally friendly transportation sector IDR 2.3 billion.

Yuli Melati Suryaningrum added, "We are very grateful that in 2023 BCA Syariah will be able to overcome economic challenges by achieving good performance and growing sustainably.
