BCA Syariah Channels Essential Aid to Disaster-Affected Areas in Aceh

Lhokseumawe, 18 December 2025 – BCA Syariah has distributed humanitarian assistance to support communities affected by hydrometeorological disasters in Aceh. The handover of aid took place during a visit by the Board of Directors of BCA Syariah to the Lhokseumawe area.
The assistance, consisting of rice and basic food supplies, was presented by BCA Syariah Director Eduard Guntoro Purba and BCA Syariah Director Lukman Hadiwijaya to the Mayor of Lhokseumawe, Sayuti Abubakar, S.H., M.H., at the Lhokseumawe Mayor’s Office on Wednesday (17/12).
“We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to all communities affected by this disaster. We hope that the presence of BCA Syariah can help ease the burden faced by the community, particularly in meeting daily needs in the aftermath of the disaster,” said Eduard.
In addition to distributing aid in Lhokseumawe, BCA Syariah has also collaborated with various institutions in several other disaster-affected areas, including Bireuen and Aceh Tamiang. The disaster relief efforts were carried out in collaboration with a number of zakat management organizations (LAZ), including LazisMu, Wakaf Salman, Daarut Tauhid Peduli, and the Forum Komunikasi Industri Jasa Keuangan Aceh.

Through these partner institutions, BCA Syariah has distributed aid packages covering a wide range of essential needs, including canned food, rice, bottled drinking water, children’s and adults’ clothing, diapers, sanitary pads, towels, personal hygiene kits, as well as child psychosocial support items such as interactive toys, books, and drawing materials. This collaborative approach was undertaken to ensure that the assistance could reach a broader segment of the community and be aligned with actual needs on the ground.
Availability of Banking Services
On the same occasion, the Board of Directors of BCA Syariah also visited all BCA Syariah branches located in Banda Aceh, Lhokseumawe, and Bireuen. The visits were conducted to ensure that branch operations and customer services continued to operate smoothly and effectively.
Eduard added, “Under the current circumstances, the community requires access to banking services to meet various needs. We ensure that BCA Syariah services, both at branches and ATMs, remain available and operate properly. At present, all BCA Syariah branches in Aceh are operating normally.”
